The Liticker Letter

After the last few weeks...

December

Merry Christmas from Ada City Schools!  This year has flown by and as we approach the end of the first semester of this school year, we want to thank our stakeholders for your partnerships and collaboration as we strive to provide the best educational experiences for our students.   We have had a very busy four months and fully appreciate the effort our students have put in.  As we close the books on this grading period, we encourage all students to finish strong.  We do not want any students falling behind as we wrap up the semester.  Our teachers have worked very diligently to ensure each class’ objectives have been mastered by their students.  We have spent time analyzing student data, collaborating on best practices and strategies, working with students in guided practice, assessing students to see where they are, and remediating students who are having difficulty grasping concepts.  Through all this, here we are at the mid-point of our journey. We encourage you to stay in close contact with your child’s teachers so you know where they stand and what they need to do to finish strong.  We hope all of our students and families have a wonderful Christmas Break.  We will certainly miss each of them and will be ready to welcome them back in January!  Once again Ada, thank you for the support you gave in the approval of Ada Redbud Elementary.  We are excited to see it open in January and the flurry of activity as learning begins inside.  We also look on the horizon at the beginning of a second new elementary school that will rise on the site that currently houses Washington Elementary School!  Big things are happening in the Ada City Schools and we are blessed to share them with you!  Have a Great Christmas and a very Happy New Year!!!!
