A Message to the Ada Community

As we move into October, the cooler temperatures are a welcome change and provide a refreshing opportunity to continue a great start to the school year. There is a lot happening across Ada City Schools, and I want to take a moment to thank our community for the continued support you provide to our students, teachers, and staff.

As members of the Ada community, you play an important role in the growth and development of our children. We are privileged to be part of their educational journey, and we take seriously our responsibility to ensure that every student experiences academic, behavioral, and personal growth.

The first nine weeks of school have been busy and productive. Our teachers and students have been engaged in meaningful learning experiences, and student activities are in full swing. As always, our students, sponsors, coaches, and directors have represented Ada with tremendous pride. Congratulations to all of our students and sponsors who have recently competed at the state level and represented Ada so well.

As we close the first nine weeks, our teachers are also carefully assessing student learning and monitoring progress toward the essential skills identified for each grade level and content area. Our teachers have participated in vertical alignment meetings to collaborate, strengthen instruction, and ensure that we are clear and consistent about what we expect our students to learn.

October also brings Parent-Teacher Conferences. These conversations provide a valuable opportunity for parents, teachers, and other members of our school community to come together, discuss student progress, and determine how we can work as a team to best support each child. Our students are at the center of everything we do.

If there is anything we can do to better serve your child’s educational needs, please reach out to us. We believe education is a partnership, and we want to work alongside our families and community to do everything possible to promote student learning, growth, and success.

Our commitment to you is simple: We will work every day to ensure our students are safe and well cared for, inspire them to learn and grow academically, and connect them with activities, opportunities, and experiences that allow them to discover their unique talents and all they are capable of becoming.

It truly takes a village to educate and support our children, and the phrase “WE ARE ADA” has never been more meaningful. Together, we can create a culture where high standards, high expectations, and excellence are the standard for every Ada Cougar.
