Adult Education

Team

Adult Basic Education (ABE) programs serve students ages 16 and over who are not currently enrolled in school and who would like to improve their basic skills in reading, writing, math, listening and speaking. ABE is designed to provide free educational opportunities leading to acquiring basic literacy, employment, postsecondary education and training along with job readiness. The Ada Adult Learning Center offers classes designed for adult learners designed to meet these areas. What is a High School Equivalency (HSE) Credential?
We offer the HISET exam once a month at the AALC.  It is one of three tests U.S. states and territories use to measure high school equivalency skills.  The test is offered in both English and Spanish at our location.

To sign up for the HISET test, go to www.hiset.org.
